Ponds
A pond provides a calming, tranquil feature in a garden, whether it is just planted to provide additional interest or as a home for fish or wildlife.
R & C Landscapes can offer you three different methods of construction
A Butyl rubber liner on underlay, then a sand base is ideal for a informal scheme. The liner has a 25 year guarantee against ultra-violet damage.
A concrete pond built out of hollow concrete blocks, which is then back filled with concrete and reinforcing bars, rendered and sealed with G4, an apoxy resin. G4 can be black, green or blue. This method is ideal for a large pond or Koi ponds.
NEW for 2006 - A fibreglass finish on concrete, which comes in all colours; although black and green are recommended to enhance the colours of the fish.

R & C Landscapes are specialists in Koi ponds and construction. We can provide letters of recommendation from satisfied customers. Ponds need to be as large as feasible and clean water is vital for healthy fish. We therefore construct pools with bottom and side drains to clear solid waste. From these drains the water is pumped into a large filtration unit. Aeration is also important to maintain a high level of water quality, and this can be achieved by creating a high cascade or by using air bricks. A sand filter is recommended |

Pond Maintenance
R & C Landscapes also offer pond overhauls or refurbishment - leave us to do the mucky jobs and you can sit back and enjoy your pond.
We supply a large, 500 gallon tank with a filter to house the fish in the correct environment during the overhaul. This also enables us to keep some original water to put back in the pond.
